After the recent and successful farewell tour (was it?) of 2009 and having in mind all friends and followers of the band, POTATO finally decided to discharge a new album in the SILVER BULLETS sub-label.

With the unambiguous title of "LA FIESTA SKA" 12 unreleased tracks recorded in 2005 and 2006 are now disclosed.

The scheme at the time of the recording was to integrate into the band a lot of friends that at the same time were musicians and singers in love with ska and reggae.

In short, invite a lot of guests to turn the studio into a party. These recordings have no additives or preservatives but conserve all properties after this time in the tin can and are now served for everybody to taste.

At the time it was impossible to consider a lot of takes or subtle touch ups due to the assortment of guests some of which were literally kidnapped to the studio.

The scheme was to steam a totally new dish with multiple familiar ingredients that had never been combined in that way and that required immediate consume.

The formula was not included in any manual so guided by the wise lessons of the great chefs of Jamaican music the band cooked what we can now taste, a non-purist creative banquet.

What's more, kids and grow-ups love the main ingredient: POTATO. So, taking part in feast we can find: Julio Romero, ex band member and currently member of the Young Symphonic Orchestra of the Basque Country; Javier Olloqui composer and arranger of several albums of the band as well as driving force of Potato; Arturo Blasco author of methods for guitar and member of bands like Itoiz and La Polla Records; Bingen Mendizábal regular musician in movie soundtracks whose violin can be heard in the track "Wester"; Pedro Reguero, accordionist and honorific member of the Music School of Moscow; Raúl Romo, sax player in numerous projects: Ortophonk, Quinteto de la Muerte, Hot Wok...; Roberto Miranda, XVIII century guitar maestro and currently living in Cuba; Javi Antoñana and his flamenco guitar; Mikel Parrutxo extraordinary DJ, member of the band Ortophonk and teacher of DJs etc etc etc.
