Auf ihrem dritten Album loten die außergewöhnlichen Sänger Ifedayo Gatling, Dennis Bailey und George Marage die gesamte Bandbreite der Musik, die sie beeinflusst hat, aus und tauchen ein in eine weniger bekannte, aber enorm wichtige Ära der Gospelmusik.

Ab Mitte der 1960er Jahre begannen lokale Gospelgruppen und -sänger, Elemente populärer Soul- und Funkstile zu integrieren.

2006 veröffentlichte das in Chicago ansässige Reissue-Label Numero die Compilation"Group Good God! A Gospel Funk Hymnal".

Hier wühlt sich die Gruppe durch den Numero-Katalog und interpretiert einige der Gospel-Funk-Stücke auf ihre eigene Weise neu.

"We always found it difficult to stay in this one lane of what people think gospel is supposed to be," sagt Gatling.

"This record allowed us to hear people that were innovators in their own time, pushing how gospel music sounded, and now we've created this project that is message-wise gospel, but the feeling and the sound can be whatever you want it to be."
