Der erste Teil der YOKO ONO Reissue Serie von Secretly Canadian und Chimera Music erschien im Herbst 2016 und umfasste ,Unfinished Music No.1: Two Virgins" von 1968, ,Unfinished Music No.

2: Life With The Lions" von 1969 und ,Plastic Ono Band" von 1970. Der zweite Teil folgt im Sommer 2017 umfasst ,Fly" von 1971, ,Approximately Infinite Universe" von 1973 und ,Feeling The Space" aus dem gleichen Jahr.

Die Tatsache, dass die einst geächtete YOKO ONO eine neue Generation von AktivistInnen inspiriert, ist keine Überraschung mehr, sobald man einmal "Feeling The Space" gehört hat, ihr "politisch-persönliches"-Album von 1973, das auch 44 Jahre später brandaktuell bleibt.

Auf Songs wie ,Woman Power", ,Angry Young Woman", dem Proto-Grrrl Stück ,Potbelly Rocker" und dem satirischen ,Men Men Men" singt ONO überraschend geradeheraus über die Bürde, die Frauen tragen und darüber, für den Feminismus einzutreten.

Unterstützt von Studioveteranen wie Gitarrist David Spinozza, Saxophonist Michael Brecker und Schlagzeuger Jim Keltner ist ,Feeling The Space" das vielleicht zugänglichste Album von YOKO ONO und zugleich auch ihr intimstes.

,Feeling The Space" wurde zu der Zeit aufgenommen, als sich die Avantgarde-Visionärin von ihrem Rockstarehemann JOHN LENNON entfernte.

Er taucht nur kurz als ,Johnny D'Ocean" auf; ONO selbst produzierte und schrieb sämtliche Songs.
