Hinter SLEEP PARTY PEOPLE verbirgt sich Brian Batz, der dänische Multiinstrumentalist mit der unbegrenzten Vorstellungskraft.

Das Einmann-Schlafzimmerprojekt nahm 2008 Form als, als Batz in seinem Apartment damit begann, auf einem alten Klavier herumzuexperimentieren.

Mit der elektronischen Veränderung seiner Stimme ließ er unheimliche, hypnotische Sounds entstehen und legte damit das Fundament für das selbstbetitelte Debüt von SLEEP PARTY PEOPLE.

2012 folgte darauf ,We Were Drifting On A Sad Song" und 2014 ,Floating". SLEEP PARTY PEOPLE mauserten sich für eine Tour zu einem Quintett und bekehrten weltweit Fans.

Ohne die Unterstützung eines US-Labels schaffte es die Band so oder so, überall Wellen zu schlagen - in Asien, Osteuropa, Südamerika oder sogar im Mittleren Osten ist es keine Seltenheit, dass tausende von Fans auf den Shows von SLEEP PARTY PEOPLE auftauchen.

Das neue Album ,Lingering" wurde einmal mehr von Batz geschrieben, aufgenommen, produziert und performt und reicht über den bloßen Post-Rock der Vorgänger weit hinaus.

Mit ,Lingering" hat Batz endgültig seine Stimme als einzigartiger Songwriter gefunden und sorgt mit seiner dicht gestaffelten, futuristisch durchchoreographierten Instrumentierung für echte Wärme.

[ENG] Sleep Party People is the brainchild of Brian Batz, a Danish multi-instrumentalist with a boundless imagination.

The one-man home recording project took shape in 2008 when Batz began experimenting with an old battered piano in his apartment.

Coupled with a strange electronic alteration of his recorded voice, he created eerie, hypnotic sounds and haunting melodies forming the basis of Sleep Party People's self-titled debut album (2010).

With the release of 2012's 'We Were Drifting On A Sad Song' and 2014's 'Floating', Sleep Party People began touring as a five-piece band, gaining the attention of fans worldwide.

Without the support of a U.S. label, the band was able to harness a groundswell of attention from far reaches of the globe.

Throughout Asia, Eastern Europe, South America, and even parts of the Middle East it's not unusual for SPP shows to draw thousands of spectators.

The new album'Lingering', written, recorded, produced, and performed by Batz, develops beyond the band's more overtly post-rock efforts.

With 'Lingering', Batz has found a voice as a unique songwriter, and has captured a singular warmth within his densely layered, futuristically choreographed instrumentation.
