THINNER
PAINTIME AND GLORY (MIDSUMMER)
THINNER are just as rude, naughty, and forward as punk and hardcore used to be in the good old days.
That should not surprise anyone, considering that these three fellas build upon a strong foundation laid in the late 80s and early 90s, when their teenage selves went skateboarding all day, read Thrasher Magazine, and listened to bands such as Minor Threat, Insted, Black Flag, Dag Nasty, Dead Kennedys, Descendents.
Short, dirty hardcore punk fire crackers, fueled by passion and filled with anger, that come at you full throttle to blow your ear canals clear.
While the hardcore influence is predominantin their music, THINNER always sound snotty enough to form an indispensable part of every punkrock collection.
The new album Paintime And Glory is an excellent summary of all of the above, capturing the spirit of Berlin's scruffy streets in 12 songs in less than 24 minutes.
For hardcore punk connoisseurs, Paintime and Glory will be an essential part of this year's summer soundtrack!
