The men of Hackman seem to live by the simple creed that mom all taught us: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Judging from there recorded output Jesse, Daryl, & Owen may not know any nice words at all.

What they do know is sonic devastation. Bone crushing riffs and pounding drums, feedback and repetition negate much need for vocals.

Besides, words just don't do justice to what these simply Bostonian's have to communicate.

Formed in Boston 2005 by refugees from Milligram & Lamont, Hackman exploded onto the local scene like a dump truck full of bricks and dynamite.

The word spread quickly beyond the borders of the tight-knit Boston scene and a legend was born.

The tale of Hackman expanded in 2007 with the release of their debut full-length "The New Normal," which garnered praise far and wide, eventually ending up on year-end "best-of" lists, including "Best Song Title" from 420 Trainwreck for "Fuck You, I played Altamont." After acquiring a new drummer (called simply Owen) the band had to figure out how to follow up such a smashing debut as "The New Normal." The answer is, "Enterprises." 10 new songs recorded straight to glorious 2" tape and utilizing more non-standard tunings than any heavy on the heavy, sludge rock band should know.

Recorded with producer in excels Andrew Schneider (Unsane, Pelican, Scissorfight) at his studio TranslatorAudio in scenic Brooklyn the men of Hackman decided that staying the course was their best bet.

Over ten tracks and 60+ minutes Hackman carve out riff after spine tingling riff of aural ecstasy with their guitars.

The vocals are just as minimal as on the debut and help to showcase some of the most earth rattling rhythms of the past decade.

Look for the album to hit stores this later this Fall, and for Hackman out on the road this fall, wnter, and spring to support "Enterprises." And if they play your town and don't respond when you say "Hi"..

Well I guess you'll know what they're thinking.
