Nick Oliveri previously played in Kyuss, Dwarves and most recently Queens of the Stone Age. A hugely talented vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Oliveri is also the very epitome of rock n roll.
"Dead Planet: SonicSlowMotionTrails" is Nick Oliveri at his very best. From the raw bass driven aggression of first single "I Never Sleep" to the whirling melodies of "So High".
From the stoned out trip of "Take Me Away" to the chugging Ramones-esque "Mental Hell", this is an album that merges driven punk rock with Nick Oliveri's unique vocal and lyrical take.
The songs also have the hooks that show why he was such an important part of both Kyuss and QOTSA.
The album was recorded largely in Dave Grohl's studio in LA - Studio 606.
