CUCKOOLAND
BANGA BOOM BOOM (DAMAGED GOODS)
A great six piece band from Reading which rose from the ashes of a band called Shelleys Children in 1991.
Their first demos in 1992 were great, the production was perfect, really well crafted pop.
Three months later their debut single 'Winter' was released on Damaged Goods. It got 'Single of The Week' on Steve Lamacqs Evening Session on Radio 1 and some great press too.
Three more singles followed including another radio hit the aptly titled "Radio Friendly" which a certain Jonathan King liked so much that he included it on his now defunct music biz cd / mag the Tip Sheet.
Damaged Goods released their only album "Pop Sensibility" in 1994 and they gigged on for a couple of years eventually splitting in 1996.
This CD is a compilation of all their singles and non album tracks plus some very lo-fi demos..
