Sweetly haunting and timeless! The second full length by IRON & WINE (constisting of SAM BEAM) called "Our Endless Numbered Days" was recorded in Sams' house as well as in Chigagos' Engine Studios by Brian Deck.

Here Sam is aided and abetted by his recording and touring conspirators: his sister SARA BEAM, PATRICK MC KINNEY, JEFF MC GRIFF, EJ HOLOWICKI and JONATHAN BRADLEY.

No grand gestures on this record, instead it is filled with tiny moments, little windows into our shared mortality in a way that serves to sharpen the hunger for love and connection, rather than dull or defeat it.

Listening to "Our Endless Numbered Days" makes plain Sams' deft touch with words and melody, one that allows him to turn out stories about love, loss, faith or the lack of it set to music that is, as mentioned above, sweetly haunting and timeless.
