The Viennese label SILUH RECORDS is celebrating its 20th anniversary with this limited real vinyl only release (no CD, no DL, no stream)! The album comes with 13 songs, with current label artists each covering a favourite song by label colleagues.

A wild ride between the genres is pre-programmed, which also reflects the broad back catalogue of the Viennese indie institution Siluh Records.

The label, which was founded in 2005 and now has over 100 releases, is a true gem of the scene, home to bands such as DIVES, GARDENS, CULK, MILE ME DEAF, LAUNDROMAT CHICKS, SEX JAMS and EUROTEURO and has made a significant contribution to the small underground hype in the music city of Vienna.

But the label's back catalogue also includes a few illustrious international guests. For example, there have been releases with JAD FAIR from Half Japanese and the French electro-acoustic artist PHILIP PETIT, the 90s US indie rockers SWEARING AT MOTORISTS, a techno remix record with ALEC EMPIRE, ERIC D.

CLARKE, JASON FORREST and BERNHARD FLEISCHMANN, a single with CASSIE RAMONE from The Babies, or albums by chokebore frontman TROY VON BALTHAZAR.

For the anniversary record, current Siluh acts have now been commissioned to reinterpret one song each from the catalogue.

ISCHIA conjure up a true dream pop anthem with a shoegaze finale from a LAUNDROMAT CHICKS song.

LAUNDROMAT CHICKS, on the other hand, create a Neil Young'esque version from the garage rock of TELEBRAINS.

TELEBRAINS take on DIVES' `Tomorrow', who in turn dig up an old LUISE POP song that never appeared on an album and bring it back to life.

The indie folk group GARDENS rework a Dada Pop number by EUROTEURO, who in turn have Germanised a TOPSY TURVY song.

And so it goes on...The title `POCKET SONGS' refers to a quote from a friend of mine, the owner of Bachelor Records, who once said "Pocket Band, a band for your pocket.

A band you love and want to tell your friends about, but not too many, because the band should stay small and in your pocket and not be on the playlists of every Tom, Dick and Harry".The vinyl album comes with a Siluh poster, all tracks only on LP here exclusively/original! Congratulations!
