Trio Valore, the renowned British Mod-Jazz-Funk supergroup featuring Steve White (The Style Council), Damon Minchella (Ocean Colour Scene), and Seamus Beaghen (Madness), announces the 15th Anniversary reissue of their iconic album, "Return of the Iron Monkey," set for release on November 17.
Originally launched in October 2008, the album quickly gained cult status among mod, soul, and rare groove enthusiasts, with the original vinyl long sold out.
This anniversary edition will be available on limited edition Crystal Clear LP and as a digital deluxe edition, including two bonus tracks: "Put Em Down (Muro Di Gomma mix)" and a cover of Roy Budd's classic "Get Carter."With roots in funk, jazz, and soul, Trio Valore is known for its exceptional musicianship.
Steve White is celebrated as one of the UK's top drummers, having worked extensively with Paul Weller and participated in the Acid Jazz movement.
Damon Minchella was a founding member of Ocean Colour Scene, selling over three million albums, while Seamus Beaghen has collaborated with numerous notable artists, including Iggy Pop and Morrissey.
The album features dancefloor hits infused with Hammond grooves and deep funk, covering classics like Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" and Jimi Hendrix's "Fire." The reissue is part of Record Kicks' celebration of its 20th anniversary, highlighting its commitment to contemporary funk and soul.
