Record Kicks presents "Yours Truly," the latest album by Bordeaux's soul sensation, Alexis Evans, set for release on February 3, 2023.

This marks his third studio album, following the critically acclaimed "I've Come A Long Way," which was recognized as "Soul Album of The Year" by Rolling Stone France.

Produced by Louis-Marin Renaud, "Yours Truly" features 12 tracks that blend classic 60s and 70s soul with contemporary influences, including hip-hop beats and Caribbean sounds.The album was recorded between Bordeaux and Nantes during 2021 and early 2022, with the first single "Mr Right On Time" leading the anticipation.

Alexis emphasizes a live recording approach, allowing the album to capture an authentic sound that translates well to the stage.

Lyrically, the album explores themes of love, abandonment, and introspection, reflecting both personal experiences and the broader impacts of the lockdown.Inspired by legends like Marvin Gaye and David Bowie, Alexis began his musical journey at 17 with his project "Jumping to the Westside," earning accolades such as the Cognac Blues Passion prize.

Now, after extensive touring in Europe, he returns with "Yours Truly," a testament to his evolution as an artist and his dedication to the soul genre.
