The Sexy Drugs describe their music tongue-in-cheek as "Hard Nipple Power Pop". This is to emphasise that they like to spice up their punky rock with pop melodies.

Their eventful history began at the beginning of 2001 at the Fillmore in Kaiserslautern.

After several line-up changes and three studio albums, the band signed with Barhill Records at the end of 2024.

"Reckless Memories", the first The Sexy Drugs album to be released as a quartet, will be released capture their live energy and transfer it onto an album.

"Reckless Memories" is an album about missed opportunities, old feelings and new difficulties and problems.

It's about all the highs and lows in our lives. The four musicians wanted to grow as a band, even though the world seems to be collapsing at the same time.

Escapism as a last chance. Or to put it another way: rock'n'roll is the answer. At least in part.
