DECIMA VICTIMA
UN HOMBRE SOLO (GATEFOLD SLEEVE) (MUNSTER)
Decima Victima were a band that, during their short-lived career between 1981 and 1984, developed a very personal sound reminiscent of Joy Division, The Cure and other British post-punk bands.
Although included in as part of a limited edition boxset anthology MR 305 (2010), this is the first time their second and final album "Un Hombre Solo" (1984) gets an official reissue in its original single LP format.
This Hispanic-Swedish quartet from Madrid was undoubtedly the most representative band of the 80's spanish "dark wave".
They made music together from 1981 to 1984, released on their own label Grabaciones Accidentales, founded along with Paco Trinidad and Esclarecidos.
Lars & Per previous group "Cláusura Tenebrosa" made instrumental music then joined Carlos adding lyrics and renamed "Décima Víctima" Line-up: Carlos Entrena (vocals), Per Mertanen (bass), Lars Mertanen (guitars, keyboards), José Brena (drums) Despite commercial success evaded them, rarely has any Spanish band achieved such a high degree of quality and coherence in their music and personality.
For this edition, the sound of the original tape recordings has been cleaned and improved and the artwork has been slightly modified following the band's ideas.
