Neck Deep make an impressive return with their third full-length studio album. In 2017, the guys from Wales once again show that they are one of the hottest acts on the scene and can really deliver.

Neck Deep are currently regarded as one of the most important pop-punk bands from England - which is not that difficult in a genre that is overloaded with mediocrity.

Their third record is less optimistic than its predecessor, but musically it still relies on pop hooks, punk riffs and some interesting ideas, characterised by the tragic experiences surrounding the loss of singer Ben Barlow's father, many of the lyrics are rather sad or serve as a musical way of coming to terms with them.

These contrasts to the often cheerful music typical of punk pop make the album interesting and multi-layered.

Good-humoured music with thoughtful lyrics, a very good combination.
