Thurston Moore's upcoming album is his ninth solo album. Written and arranged in Europe and the UK, some of the songs contain lyrical references to their surroundings and are influenced by nature, lucid dreaming and modern dance.2023 saw the release of two singles: the energetic, non-album, Isadora Duncan-inspired 'Isadora' with a music video starring Sky Ferreira.

'Hypnogram', which the press hailed as one of the most intense tracks Moore has ever released, combines the more melodic moments of his former band Sonic Youth with the layered, heady flourishes of his bassist Deb Googe's main band, My Bloody Valentine.

The new material conveys a haunting sense of dreaming and leaves fans eager to hear what the American has in store for his album." 2024 then saw the rousing Earth Day anthem 'Rewilding': the musician delivered harrowing lines as he reflected on the removal of the human hand from nature: "...Don't stir anything...".

Moore sang about renewal and a time for friends of the earth to sleep and realise a natural way by "dreaming coralmorphologically".

The musician said the UK rewilding movement strives to reduce human impact on ecosystems.

Most of the lyrics are again written by the artist Radieux Radio. The name "Flow Critical Lucidity" comes from the lyrics of "Sans Limites", and the album cover features Jamie Nares' "Samurai Walkman" - a helmet equipped with tuning forks.

Jamie Nares (born in the UK) is a lifelong friend of Thurston Moore from his New York No Wave days and the two have worked together many times.

Also featured are Jon Leidecker, James Sedwar, Jem Doulton and guest Laetitia Sadier from Stereolab does backing vocals on one track.
