30 Jahre nach der Veröffentlichung von Talk Talk's viertem Album Spirit of Eden hat sich der belgische Regisseur Gwenaël Breës, ein Superfan der britischen Art-Rock-Band aus den 1980er Jahren, auf eine Reise durch das ganze Land begeben, um das Geheimnis der Platte zu lüften.

Das Problem? Bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 2019 lehnte Leadsänger Mark Hollis notorisch alle Interviewanfragen ab, und der Rest der Band tat es ihm gleich und weigerte sich, ihre Musik für Filmaufnahmen zu verwenden.

Mit einem Boom-Mikrofon bewaffnet, muss Breës das Unmögliche versuchen - einen Film über eine Band zu drehen, die nicht gefilmt werden will, und die Geschichte des ultimativen Art-Rock-Albums zu erzählen, ohne die Platte abzuspielen.

30 years after the release of Talk Talk's fourth album Spirit of Eden, superfan of the 1980s British art-rock band - Belgian director Gwenaël Breës - found himself crisscrossing the country in an attempt to unravel the mystery surrounding the record.

The problem? Up to his death in 2019 lead singer Mark Hollis notoriously declined all interview requests and the rest of the band has followed suit, refusing to allow their music to be used on film.

Armed with a boom mic, Breës must attempt the impossible - to make a film about a band that does not want to be filmed, and tell the story of the ultimate art rock album without playing the record.
