RELIGIOUS (NINKINA RECORDINGS)
Nina Kinert's new album Religious - a processing of her childhood within the Swedish Pentacostal Church and an exploration of spiritual mystique.

At the same time it explores the attraction to spiritual mystique and the supernatural.
Religious also explores the church musically and sonically - church organs, vocal harmonies, grand and transcendental arrangements.
On the album, the listeners will hear inspirational strokes from minimalistic classical music by composers like Philip Glass and John Adams, experimental vocals like that of Laurie Anderson and general influences around synthesizer landscapes from one of Ninas musical heroes Vangelis.
There is also a cover of the Siouxsie and the Banshees song Into the Light. The contributing musicians on the record is the notorious cellist Linnea Olsson (Peter Gabriel, Frida Hyvönen) , Anton Sundell (Tonbruket, Siri Karlsson, Ellen Arkbro, Merit Hemmingsson) as co-producer playing cithers and various dists, woodwind master Nils Berg, harp equilibrist Stina Hellberg- Agback, Pontus Levahn (Horndal, Tiger Lou, Mattias Alkberg) on battery, Henrik Palm (In Solitude, Ghost, Sphynx) on bass and guitar solo and on the song Baptized at Fourteen Ninas 7 year old daughter, Shelley, repeats the frase "They will say the truth is what will set you free.
