Olivier Libaux was a composer and guitarist who started his career in the 80's with the neo-pop band Les Objets, followed by two poetic storytelling albums, "L'héroïne au bain" (2003), then "Imbécile" (2007).
These albums included such artists as Philippe Katerine, Helena Noguerra, and JP Nataf.
In the aughts, Olivier Libaux co-founded with Marc Collin the band Nouvelle Vague, a bossa nova style cover band that reinterpreted their favorite bands' songs, over a span of 10 albums and more than 15 years of touring the world.
In 2011, Olivier presented the idea of a cover album of Queens Of The Stone Age to their lead singer Josh Homme.
After Josh gave him the green light, he gathered 12 of his favorite female vocalists from around the world and with his core crew -Frédéric Carayol for mixing, Raphaël Chassin for percussion, and Greg Calbi for mastering- he released the album "Uncovered Queens of the Stone Age" under his own label Music For Music Lovers, in 2013.
This album included twelve intimately personal versions of QOTSA, enhancing the beauty of these songs and honoring the talent of their writers.
This year, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of "Uncovered Queens Of The Stone Age".
