Orphaned Land started as Resurrection some thirty years ago, to celebrate the bands anniversary TAKLIMIT HOLIM decided to release this very special project.

Orphaned Land was first formed as Resurrection in 1991, the following LP and 7" contains the very first song the band ever composed, 2 live tracks while supporting Cathedral back in 1992 and even the very first sketches of the almighty song 'The Beloveds Cry' while Yossi and Kobi composing it at Kobi's room, late at night.

These tracks are compiled from several band cassettes that were kept at the band's archive for the past 30 years and for Orphaned Land's 30th anniversary, decided to edit this release.

It's amazing to see how the band started and sounded at first days, as well as seeing some first fruits of oriental elements in the traditional death metal and riffs from the 90's up to the point where the band stay today, musically and concept wise.

These both discs (12" and 7") contain a trip to the bands childhood rehearsals and first ever live gig at the legendary Roxan club in Tel-aviv.

The attached liner notes contain personal stories that shed some light on the old recordings as well as the development of these songs into the beginning of Orphaned Land.
