GREEN, ADAM
THAT FUCKING FEELING (CAPITANE RECORDS)
Adam Green is now onto his 11th solo album after his early success as one half of The Moldy Peaches, continueing his musical explorations with longtime collaborators Loren Humphrey, James Richardson (MGMT), and Jesse Kotansky.
An intermittently brilliant songwriter, his latest album sees him blend lo-fi home recordings done during COVID quarantine alongside bigger 'Wall of Sound' style productions, but whatever fidelity he chooses to work in, his albums are always worth your time.
When talking about the title track, Adam says: "I wanted to release something home-recorded.
Back in the Moldy Peaches days I used to record everything on my parent's kitchen table, but it's been 20 years since I put out something like that.
I wrote a few songs in quarantine singing into my laptop, and I like how direct it feels.
Not every song has to be big, this is just a little song that felt like a sweet moment captured.
I think of myself as a singing man, maybe that's how I'm most comfortable in life" The initially ltd CD release is now reissued, adding for the first time vinyl too!
