Arizona's Flotsam and Jetsam perform live in concert in their hometown of Phoenix in the summer of 2003.
Live in Phoenix is the first ever live video release from Arizona's Flotsam and Jetsam, it saw the light of day on June 22nd, 2004.
The band had operated for 20 years before they got anything like this out. The DVD includes a live set, that happened in their hometown Phoenix, Arizona in July 2003.
The set opens with "No Place for Disgrace". The songs are from all albums from 1986 debut Doomsday for the Deceiver to 2001's My God, except nothing from High.
The set-list is a mixture of tight high-octane thrash metal and more groovier or almost progressive bits, and calmer times.
"Hammerhead", from the debut album, is true thrashing, while "Chemical Noose" from 1999 is bouncy and groovy roller.
"Wading through the Darkness" is an utterly dark and slow-tempo piece, but still works well in live setting.
