JAMHED
GELEE ROYAL (TREIBENDER TEPPICH)
On their third album "Gelee Royal", Jamhed has hidden many surprises. After breaking musical monoliths since 2007, they have arrived at the somewhat vintage genre of psychedelic rock, but with a fresh take.
With the band's latest album, vestiges of jazz and hip hop can be found as well as several instrumental pieces that soak up the listener.
This newest collection veers away from the previous prog-rock sound on their remarkable predecessor, "Lollipop Giveaway in Wee-Wah-Wonderland", but with sound explosions that make up the lush range of Jamhed.
The instruments were recorded over several months in a series of overdub sessions and speak for themselves.
On "Gelee Royal", Jamhed is growing in both self-confidence and expression; the album gives an honest insight into the band's universe, humming with both feelings and fragility.
The album was recorded and mastered by Stuttgart's sound genius Ralv Milberg, overdubs and mixing by singer and guitarist Philip took place in their bedroom at home."
