MUGURUZA, FERMIN
BRIGADISTAK SOUND SYSTEM (ESAN OZENKI)
"Brigadistak Sound System" (Esan Ozenki Records 1999) is the title of Fermin Muguruza's first solo album.
Now, on the 20th Anniversary of its publication, we present you a carefully edited double vinyl, the format in which it was not originally edited.
The album was recorded for more than 6 months in different studios around the world: Rome, Carracas, Los Angeles, Azkarate_ And groups like Todos Tus Muertos, Manu Chao, Desorden Público and many others participated in these recordings.
The album ended with a remix by Mad Professor and in this edition we have added another remix, work by Xabi Pery.
180 gr vinyl, gatefold sleeve, translated lyrics. The fact that FMs agitation and anti-globalization propaganda is not tinged with the old class-warrior, cramped hostility to pleasure is mainly due to the extremely groovy music that Fermin Muguruza recorded for this album - similar to Manu Chao, for example, on numerous trips with various guests.
Manu Chao himself is represented on the album, as are P18, another successor to Mano Negra, Angelo Moore from Fishbone, Mad Professor and the Latin American salsa punks from Desorden Publico.
Dub grooves usually define the starting point of this nomadic dance pleasure, which sometimes breaks out into pop songs, sometimes into punk energy, sometimes into African chants or rough rock riffs.
Fermin Muguruza dances the opposition and delivers the true soundtrack of the opponents of globalisation with this record.
