Georg Riedel is a true legend of the Swedish music scene. During his seven decades of working as a musician, he has written the music to many of Astrid Lindgren's movies, played bass on numerous of Jan Johansson's recordings, and shared the stage with jazzgiants such as Lars Gullin, Arne Domnerus and Gunnar Svensson.

At the age of 84, he has now composed an album of brand new music, put together an outstanding band, and arranged and conducted the orchestra during the recording of the album.

He sat downat his piano and composed without any stress or pressure - no modifications made according to the market, no lyric writers to yield to, no clients to please.

He has simply done what he enjoys doing, driven by pure pleasure. Once the songs had been completed,Georg Riedel put together a group able to play them: five experienced jazz musicians, a few generations younger than himself.
