PERC, THE
KOTO FUNK (TRIBAL STOMP)
CD comes in 6 Page Digisleeve! In 1995, German independent music legends Tom THE PERC Redecker and Emilio THE HIDDEN GENTLEMAN Winschetti wrote the music for the production of Peter Turrini's "Die Schlacht um Wien" (The Battle for Vienna)at the Staatstheater Stuttgart.
Director Günther Gerstner wanted to have the two in the next project, a theater production of Rainald Goetz's work "Festung" (Fortress) in Berlin.
After the script came, Tom started working and collected ideas. He wrote the design of the title "Birth To The Day" alone on the synthesizer, which was later to be developed in the studio with guest musicians.
The five tracks" Koto Funk "," Flesh & Blood Society "," Inhaler "," Heartbeat "and" Dwarf "already existed as experimental industrial / punk versions and were planned as the basis for new recordings , but unfortunately it was not, because the whole project was canceled and the recordings disappeared in Tom archive.
At the end of 2016, when researching in his archive, Redecker came across the lost recording of "Birth To The Day" and the memory of the screened theater project came back.
Now it was the idea to publish these together with the five other original ideas on CD.
In addition, "Head In The Air - Single Edit" and "Cuppa Mocha", which so far were only available on a out of print vinyl single, were included in the tracklisting.
